Humax Foxsat HDR

Humax Foxsat HDR

Humax Foxsat HDR was the first freesat PVR to be launched back in October 2008 allowing you to watch and record freesat free to air SD and HD channels at the same time because it has twin freesat receivers. Quickly after the release date there was a serious supply and demand problem and stock was near impossible to get hold of. The suggested RRP was £299.99 and because of the shortage the price shot up on smaller retailer's websites of over £350. There were reports that the shortage was caused by the theft of truck load of Humax Foxsat HDR that were heading for the retailer warehouses.

Sortages of the Humax Foxsat HDR continued well into 2009 whilst Humax tried to manufacture enough PVR's to meet retail demand. Later in 2009 stock availability improved even though demain is still high, retailers now battle for business by trying to offer the cheapest Humax Foxsat HDR. Frequently we will see retailers adjusting prices for Humax freesat PVR in order to try and stay competetavie and this is where we come in!

Please see the table below for the best prices on the Humax Foxsat HDR from wide of ratailers. Prices are checked regularly and any special offer vouchers will be listed under the product description for that particular retailer.

I have been using my HDR now for quite some time and in the main love it, I have one criticism regarding recording conflicts, why can the system not notify me when I program in the conflict, it is a bit late when the program is about to start.

I am curious about using a CI card and Sky card with the HDR, I know it is possible but is it practical, eg, will Sky still offer deals.

Alan. STOP.
To use the Humax you will need 2 sat dish conections not one, as Sky+. The screw you describe is a standard conector you can buy them at any hardware store and they fit to the coaxial cable....but to use a twin tunner recorder you need twin conectors. I assume the flat is rented and the one conector is from a communal dish. Have a word with the land lord.
