Currys website is now saying they've sold out again.

My colleague ordered one from Maplin the other day and he's just told me via IM that it's arrived. So if they say they're not fulfilling new orders ahead of back orders they're clearly lying. I'm that annoyed I'm going to email Trading Standards with a complaint.

Maplin have just told me that I'm 496th on the back order list (I ordered on 8th Jan) and they will only have 50 units coming in on the 23rd so I won't get mine until the next batch of 500 coming on the 30th (so I'll get mine 2/3rd Feb at this rate). I pushed as I said I'd heard different dates/quantities from others and she said it definately said 50 on the 23rd and 500 on the 30th on her computer screen. They denied that they'd shipped any to new orders and could not answer why my colleague had received one this way. I'm foresaking the £25 discount as I no longer trust Maplin. Here's hoping Comet still gave stock!!!

Just spoke to Maplin as I ordered a unit on 10th January. Apparently I am Number 487 on the back order list and as they are expecting a delivery of 500 (not 50) units on 23rd, I should get my order. So they say!

We have spoken to Maplin and they say "We are getting deliveries every Friday - the problem is, it's so popular
these aren't even fulfilling the back orders"

This would seem to tie up with others stating next delivery 23rd.
