Definitely none in stock in John Lewis. Tried Cambridge branch this morning - they had none. Only branch supposedly that had stock was Liverpool, but phoned them and they had none either (no stock showing in any JL stores)

Looking at all the comments from other people trying to get their hands on a HDR recorder I am reluctant going on any waiting list - Does anyone out thses know when the stock situation will be resolved to a point when you can just walk into a shop, hand over your money and walk out with a box !!!
Hopefully this will be sooner rather than later.

I agree. If Sony/Panasonic/Goodmans etc were to produce a simiar box then Humax will suddenly find that the demand disperses to other brands and they would have missed the boat.

Personally with the way things are i would think finding additional manufacturing facilites are easier now than ever before...many companies would be falling over themselves for the work at the moment.

Let's hope Humax can increase production sufficiently to meet demand or another brand enters the market with a freesat recorder and then this situation will ease.

Despite that, i still want one and am checking daily.....perhaps they're not so daft after all!

I pre-ordered from Maplin on 9th Jan. Last Thursday the website changed from Out of Stock on my order to Goods Shipped. Today I rang up to find out where it was and found they had screwed up my credit card payment, hadn't informed me and I was no longer even on the waiting list - despite what their web site said. Order now cancelled, I will never buy from Maplin again !!!!

Argos have units in stock, reserved mine on Friday and collected today, cant wait to have the dish installed. Thanbks for the help

My box turned up from Argos today, ordered last Friday. Cancelled my pre-order with Maplin, they didn't even ask why I was cancelling. Will never use Maplin again, terrible stock system, I think many on this website knew what was going on with them giving units to new orders ahead of pre-orders but they wouldn't admit it or couldn't do anything about it.
