Many thanks for the alerts - very useful in finding where these Humax boxes are. Just ordered mine from your alert via Comet

My patience was finally rewarded!
After many 'alerts' which when followed through were 'out of stock'I have succeeded in securing my Humax Freesat+ from Comet, great idea and service - thanks.

Today's "story" from Maplin (for those still patiently hanging on to get the £25 saving).
They are expecting 550 in on Feb 2nd which "will satisfy all back orders".
I've been waiting so long now might as well give them a few more days before cancelling although don't totally trust anything they say any more.

Caution / Comet ... Arrange for home Delivery only with Comet. As store pick ups are a low priority. I had one on order since Novemeber. But the stocks from Humax now seem to be flowing .

Comet now out of stock again. Annoyingly they initally said there was a problem with payment but after various calls with them and bank it seems its just thet they're out.

Found one in Argos Leeds Headrow instead. 4 left if you're in the area.

Thanks - useful site.

Thanks for your alerts, I eventually bought the very last one in stock from Argos. Only connected it last night (28th Jan), very impressed with everything, except the instruction book( too much jargon and not enough instruction)

Inexperienced users - like me - beware.

If you had a dish installed secifically to receive foxsat-hd freesat, then you nwill probably find that you have only one signal lead from the dish to the single line socket on the hd box.

However, in order to fully utilise the two-channel features of the hdr, you will need two line feeds from the dish.

At short notice, I have been unable to find a viable alternative other than paying for a comlete dish re-install.
