I had a pre-order in place with Superfi when I saw Comet had stock so cancelled with Superfi and ordered from Comet. Chose standard delivery and unit arrived yesterday as committed on order. Really pleased with the detailed information on this site and the service from Comet. Thx.

Comet failed to delivery my foxy box, did not even courtesy call me to tell me they were not deliverying to me!! That is nice customer service! They now tell me that I ordered through their site when there was no stock, site said there was as did this page. Promised delviery for thursday now they are back in stock, mmmmm lets see....

Ordered a Humax Foxsat late last Thursday evening online, received it Monday afternoon despite the bad weather conditions. Excellent service. Saved a few pounds by ordering directly rather than via the Amazon Marketplace option - £294.99 with free delivery.

Sorry, I forgot the most important piece of information in my earlier comment !! I purchased my HDR from Peter Tyson online.
(My excuse is that it took me a long time and very many tries to overcome the Catcha error problem. I was so relieved to have solved the question finally that I failed to check what I had written).

I cant see what all the fuss is about, i prefer freeview, with a quality TV you cannot hardly tell the difference with HD to any other channel, freeview has less channels but they are more varied

Does anyone know which online or telesales supplier will ship the Foxsat HRD to Ireland. I can wait until the stock becomes available, Tks Ferret

Ordered by phone from Comet this morning for delivery tomorrow. Let's hope this goes better than the comment from yesterday. At present, they still have more in stock (allegedly).

Have seen a lot of adverse comments about Comet. I ordered mine with Comet on the phone rather than internet. It was due to arrive yesterday (10th Feb) but I had a courtesy call to say that it would be a day late due to the recent bad weather. Lo and behold it is here today. Maybe the answer is to deal with a human and not rely on online ordering.

I ordered by phone with comet,i suffered the same problem as Miked, should have been delivered on 10th feb, i to had a call from comet 1st thing in the morning saying sorry it would be delayed one day due to the bad weather, recieved it yesterday 11th, and its a great bit of kit, well done comet and humax

Bought my box from Maplins about 2 weeks ago. One week prior to receiving it I emailed them with a query about delivery, yesterday they replied (2 weeks after delivery!).
Hope nothing goes wrong as Maplins seem awfully slow and not very with it, not a company to deal with on a regular basis.
