Firstly,I wish to thank you for your useful notification of availability service. I ordered a Humax Foxsat HDR over the Internet from Homebase at 8.30 pm on Wednesday 18th February 2009.The item was delivered,as promised, by Argos Direct at 10.20 am today 20th February. What brilliant service!
As you are aware,I had previously ordered through Comet on 3/2/2009, yet despite e-mail and order tracking confirmations and assurances from several Comet staff - the Humax was never delivered. I cancelled my order and have only just received a refund. If this poor treatment of customers is normal how on earth does Comet stay in business?

Used the notification service to buy the foxsat hdr from the co-op for £290 delivered,

Meant to add mine was from John Lewis, very short waiting time, arrived today. 2 year guarantee at same price as everywhere else.

Glyanjo - select folder, then press OPT+ then file manager, delete folder, red button then comfirm! Hope I remembered them in the correct order.

Anyone here had trouble with the free HDMI cable included with the Humax? Mine didn't work.

Brilliant box, EPG better than Sky +, prefer slick Humax remote to Sky's rubbery contraption. Overall a great investment. Excellent service from John Lewis!

Ordered my Humax box from John Lewis on 19th February. AT the time, John Lewis had officially a two week delay before delivery.
I received the unit by Post Office delivery this morning (24th Feb).
Pretty good, I think.

After my disastrous episode with Comet - I did get the money refunded eventually -
I ordered from John Lewis even tho' a 3 week wait was anticipated.
Arrived today after 2 weeks - very pleased as although I read that some folks are getting quicker delivery than this we are a distance away from the distribution point and therefore probably had to wait for a scheduled run.
Well done JL - and thanks for your invaluable site

Thought that I had finished with my bad encounter with Comet but last night recived an e mail requesting that I write a review for the PVR that I had purchased from them.
Panic stations as I then had to spend time and money checking with my card provider that I had not been recharged on my credit card for something I had not received (from Comet)
Tried to e mail Comet stating that I had NOT purchased a Humax from them but the e mail was refused.
There is something seriously wrong with the organisation at Comet.
