I have been using my HDR now for quite some time and in the main love it, I
have one criticism regarding recording conflicts, why can the system not
notify me when I program in the conflict, it is a bit late when the program
is about to start.

I am curious about using a CI card and Sky card with the HDR, I know it is
possible but is it practical, eg, will Sky still offer deals.

Moving into a flat with Satellite (Sky presumably)socket in place. About to
buy my Humax but what connectors would I need as well because the Sky
socket has a thread type connector.

Alan. STOP.
To use the Humax you will need 2 sat dish conections not one, as Sky+. The
screw you describe is a standard conector you can buy them at any hardware
store and they fit to the coaxial cable....but to use a twin tunner
recorder you need twin conectors. I assume the flat is rented and the one
conector is from a communal dish. Have a word with the land lord.

I've lost the remote. What does it look like please?
Can one use general remotes with it? I have a One4 All remote. Does anyone
have a set up code for the Humax Foxsat HDR that I could enter into the
One4All please?

Geoff Larkin: Whyat makes you think using a Conditional Access Module (that
you plug into a CI slot) is possible? This PVR does not come with a CI slot
as far as I can see from the spec and from looking at the box.

Our new stock tracker for the long awaited Humax HDR-Fox-T2 is here.
Retailers will be added as and when they start listing the Humax Fox HDR
T2.
So far only very few major retailers are listing the Humax HDR-Fox-T2 and
we are awaiting responses from the others as to when they will be listing
it.
Currys / PC World stopped listing stock yesterday but it looks like they
have the Humax HDR-Fox T2 back in stock today.

Humax HDR Fox T2
Just got one yesterday from currys using 5% off code (Offer ends Wednesday
1 September at 23:59)
Currys Price £299 (Free delivery)
-5% code £285
Pros: Good picture, easy to use, good features.
Universal remote can control TV DVD & Audio using codes in the manual.
Cons: No picture in picture like old models, HD channel sound is too low
compared to SD channel sound, Display on front of box is too dim and hard
to read.
HDMI doesn't switch TV to AV channel like a scart lead does.
Not much to watch on HD channels yet.
Before you buy, make sure you can get HD at your post code
