The standard warranty is two years, and to be honest, Humax are wonderful to deal with. I have a Freeview 8000T, which started playing up in the last month of it's two year date, and it was replaced for me under the warranty. the replacement failed within the week, and it was replaced again. Humax arranged the collection and delivery of the units both times. This is waht you call great customer service. P.S. Maplin are quoting 7 days on pre-orders now!!!

Maplin have told me re-stocking is "imminent". When pushed said "days not weeks"... Better get the quad LNB fitted then... Anyone know a good sat engineer to realign my dish once I've screwed it up :-)

Fitting LNB and running shotgun cable couldn't have been easier - 30 mins work at most and signal strength and picture on my existing Sky box has improved from 60% to about 85%... All I need now is my Foxsat box (Maplin!!!)

Question for Simon: What make of lnb did you fit? Is it available on-line? Thanks.

I got it from Amazon. Do a search for LNB. It's better built than the one Sky fitted and provides a better signal quality. It's quite light too so won't misalign the dish by bending the arm. Not sure how long it will last but at £7.70 I'll just buy another!
